I posted a week or so ago about trying to loose weight and trusting in GOD to help me do it rather than some new diet.
I admit I have not remembered to do it every single time I have sat down to eat. However, I do think I'm getting better at it.
One thing that has gotten better for me is my Diet Dr. Peppers. Those of you that know me well know how bad my habit is. I have cut my daily consumption in 1/2 now.
That along with slowing my eating and trying to make healthier choices has helped me to loose 2.6 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm pretty happy with that!!
If anyone else has the soda habit that I do, one thing that has helped me to cut back is to drink some water or decaf tea in between the sodas. We have also stopped buying them for the house. This is very hard for me on the weekends, but we did it this weekend and I intend to keep it up.

Hey, I noticed that you didn't sign the Mr. Linky on the Live Well Wednesday page. I just put your URL in for you. It's just below my post, so bloggers can put their URL in and visit each other.
I remember when I discovered diet Dr. Pepper, I was really into it for a while. But luckily it was hard to find out here, so I stopped buy it. Yay!
Yep, I was a little clueless and just realized I needed to do it. :) Now I know. Thanks for the help.
YEA! you joined in!! It is great to have support here! You know my thing is not soda...it's the little picking at things I do that I don't think count, but do!
When I started out spending time, even a few minutes a day quiet, WHAT A DIFFERENCE..I was just so much more peaceful...that was years ago, and now its a habit...The kiddos gave me a book for my birthday called Prayer Starters for busy moms by Tracy Klehn...it's a little book that says...How to pray and still put the laundry away..
I literally keep it in my big ol' purse...you can look at one of these in the parking lot before leaving work...hmmmm...just a thought!
about the junk...
I keep it out of the house...EXCEPT when Scott finds his way to the grocery store...THEN...ice cream somehow appears! I am just not a soda gal..plenty of other vices..:)
It's great that you are seeing results! that is the best part of all...when those clothes feel a little looser!!
~keep up the great work!
thanks for stopping by~

Lori, You always manage to boost me up. I love your replies and posts. Thank you for being such a good blog sister. :)
You can do this, you will achieve your goals. I will cheer you on.
Congratulations on your weight loss! I know it is hard to give up our habits, but we can do it through Christ who strengthens us. Keep it up, girl!
It's one step at a time! I know how addicting pop is for me, my cravings have been so bad but God has really helped me to just quit it cold turkey. Hopefully I will notice a difference soon in how I feel but I know not all the benefits not drinking pop cannot be seen all the time!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Blessings
Great job! Glad to see you on this journey as well. Lifting a prayer for you.

Angela
