It's a yucky, rainy and cold day out there today. While it's nice to have a little bit of fall weather here in Texas, the rain makes it pretty dreary.
Yesterday was such a nice day. I'm always a little nervous when I have to take the kids to church by myself. I think I'm still adjusting to having number 3. Jay had a golf tournament yesterday and I wanted to go to 10:00 church so I had to take everyone by myself. It worked out great though! I was so excited to actually be leaving the house by 9:00 (yes, that's a tad early but the kids didn't know).
Once I dropped Jacie off in the nursery I took the girls in to do their bathroom breaks before church and then we went in. After we sat down, I was kneeling and praying and I asked God to help me to hear his message. I usually struggle to hear what the message is about each Sunday because the kids are asking tons of questions or wanting to show me something. It's just very hard to concentrate.
The Priest called for Children's Church and Kealey said: "Come on Caitie. I'll go if you go." I nearly fell out of my chair. I couldn't believe they were volunteering to go. Usually I'm begging them to go. It's so much easier for them to understand the Gospel when they go to Children's Church than it is when the Priest says it. They actually got up and went and never looked back. Awesome!!! I remember what the Priest said too. He was talking about praying in everything you do!! Again, I'm amazed at how God slaps us upside the head once in a while.
Thank you Lord for showing me what I need to be doing at ALL times!
I hope you all have a blessed Monday.
