Christ Renews HIS Parish

I'm am soooo excited! I just found out that I am going to be able to participate in our church's retreat called Christ Renews HIS Parish or (CRHP) we call it "chirp." I wanted to attend in April but I had to go on a trip so I signed up for the one coming up in a couple of weeks. I kept bugging them and asking when they were going to let us know. Maybe that's why they finally said "get her in here so she'll leave us alone." :)

I did find out about a week ago that I was 76 on the list and they only take 36. I figured I was not going to get to go this time. That worried me because I will be on a business trip in April and I might have had to miss that one too.

My praying paid off and God helped me to get that spot. I have heard wonderful things about attending this retreat and how wonderful it is for everyone who goes.

Does your church have this kind of retreat? Has anyone else ever heard of this? I thought it was funny, at the beginning of August we were in Chicago at a family wedding. When we went in the church, I saw a posting that they were having CRHP also. Too cool..........all the way up in Chicago they're doing it too!
