Wow! I'm sorry for being away for so long. I really enjoy posting to my blog but man has this week beed crazy. One of my close friends, Stacy said it's the "evil one" doing his work on me since I am so pumped up from my retreat weekend. I think she is completely right!
My youngest went to the doctor for an ear infection last Friday. I was at my retreat all day Sat and Sun. My husband said she felt a bit warm both of those days. By Monday morning she was burning up. She's on antibiotics so I knew it was a virus. Joy!
I stayed home with her on Friday and Monday after being out all week last week. Then my husband got sick on Tuesday with my oldest to follow Tuesday night. I went to work yesterday but stayed home today. The oldest was feeling okay this morning so I sent her to school, only to be called at 1:30 saying she was running a fever. I guess she's not over it yet.
So, my worry radar has been a bit high, but I just keep remembering that God will take care of me. I know this and I keep telling the "evil one" to go away.
As for the retreat, it was AWESOME! I honestly think it's the single most exciting thing since I became a Catholic 14 years ago. It was so wonderful to be focusing on God all weekend. I'm so thankful to have had that chance.
If you don't know what CRHP is, it's Christ Renews His Parish. Below are some answers to general questions about the weekend.
CRHP
We will enjoy each other’s fellowship, explore the Gospel and how it impacts our lives, and pray for grace. With renewed grace, we hope to impact our families and communities in a meaningful way. This is how Christ renews his parish.
What is a CRHP Retreat?
It is a time to relax, pray, and rethink priorities.
It is a time to get to know others in the parish and grow as a community.
It is an opportunity to examine, rediscover, and /or intensify your personal relationship with Christ.
It is a weekend of reflection and sharing of spiritual and real life issues.
What a CRHP Retreat is not:
It is not a silent retreat, yet there are periods of quiet reflection and prayer.
It is not a parish organization or clique
It is not a solitary retreat, your participation makes the retreat a spiritual one for you and the other participants.
You will not be required to speak in front of the group, however, your participation in the group discussion is a key to the retreat.
If this retreat comes to your parish or church, I completely recommend that you attend. It is a blessing.
Have you attended a CRHP retreat before? If so, reply and tell me about it. I'd love to hear your stories.

Hope everyone is better soon... and here's to hoping Mommy won't get it, too! :)
Jennifer,
Thank you so much! I think everyone is finally on the mend. Yea!!
I'm coughing but praying that it won't turn into anything. Other than that, I don't feel too bad right now.
Thank you for your well wishes!
