I'm sorry it's been a few days since I've posted. I spent a few days in my hometown helping my Mom and sister with a few things. It was nice to get to visit with them both and just spend some time together. I also got a little time to hang out with my nieces and nephews. Usually when we're there, they are busy entertaining my girls so I don't get to talk with them much.
So I spent a lot of the time there helping my mother go through paperwork and trying to teach her how to be a bit more organized. I think this is hilarious of course, because I'm still working on my house. Laura would be proud of the time I spent purging and organizing.
This Saturday is my church retreat. I'm really excited about going and looking forward to the time I'll spend with God. It's funny though, even though I'm excited about going and really worshiping, I caught my breath for a second when the introduction letter said we're not to bring our watches or cell phones. I've had a cell phone attached to my hip since I've had children. It just seems strange to me to not be able to talk to them or have a phone to make sure they don't need me. Whew! I think I need this weekend more than I thought. It's time to get back to basics and learn how to "be" without a cell phone.
