A couple of nights ago I was thinking about what I wanted to blog about next. While doing this, I was hanging out with my 2 year old and just plain goofing around.
I was trying to get her to give me a kiss and she wouldn't do it. So, I started tickling her. I guess I was laying on her a bit because she said "you heavy." hahaha.........I started laughing and she just grinned not sure what she said that was funny. I love the honesty of kids.
It's fun to watch and listen as J learns new words and/or how to apply them. Many times when I'm getting her ready for bed and we're changing her clothes, I'll say "you're naked," and kiss her tummy. She laughs and then we get her jammies on.
The other night J was in my room watching tv while I was in the shower. When I got out, I realized I still needed to get my jammies. So, I ran through the room. J gets a big grin on her face and starts laughing like crazy. I said "What's so funny?" and she says "you naked." I guess it's a good thing she didn't try to kiss my tummy. :)
We've been trying to potty train J but she really has no interest at all. We will ask her if she wants to sit on the potty and most of the time she says no. Even though she says no, I think she's starting to get it because she is doing the infamous HIDE AND POOP. She'll be out of the room and quiet for about 10 minutes and then we start looking for her. When we find her she grins her sheepish little grin.

"Jacie did you poop in your diaper?"
"No"
"Then why do you stink?"
"I no stink," as she walks by you and the smell wafts up to smack you in the face.
Our latest attempt at trying to encourage her to potty train is buying her Pull Ups. She was so excited when we showed her and couldn't wait to put them on. Soon after she started wearing them, we were getting ready for bed and I had a night shirt on but no pajama pants. J looked at me with a grin on her face AGAIN and said: "Mommy you need to put your pull ups on."
This kid is a regular comedian! When I see her looking at me with that grin on her face, I wonder what she's thinking. For some reason I feel like she already thinks I'm crazy. Isn't that supposed to be when they get to be teenagers, not at the age of 2?
