Angela and Russell Huffman
It seems the spring storms have started already. Last night was a wild night for a February evening, even in North Texas.
We were told all day yesterday that we were going to have bad storms. Initially they said they would start around 2:00pm and hang on through the evening. Unfortunately they didn't get to DFW until around 9:00pm. Evening and overnight are the worse times for this type of weather for many reasons, but mine is that it keeps the kids up or wakes them up and then they're exhausted the next day.
Look at the picture above of the hail. I've seen so many pictures like this in my lifetime, but am still amazed at how big these things can get. Just think about a golf ball or baseball pounding your house (and cars) at high speeds. Wild!!
Luckily, we were safe and were able to get the kids back into bed by 10:00. It's late, but not as bad as it could have been.
